Luke Staubitz and Harvey Beesen of the Klabin Co. say Megatrux, a logistics and transportation company, is scheduled an April 15 move into the facility. It will employ approximately 10 workers at the site, which formerly was a Federal Express building. The Klabin brokers represented Megatrux and the property owner, locally based Florence Air Cargo Terminal.
They say the new Megatrux building will replace a 15,000-sf facility currently occupied by Megatrux Express in Hawthorne. The firm's new freight terminal facility is a concrete tilt-up and metal building featuring cross docking capabilities and 34 loading positions. The building also features 10,000 sf of office space, on-site parking and extra land for expansion.
The move to the new building is one of a number of recent expansions by Megatrux, which relocated its headquarters late last year to a 90,000-sf distribution center in the City of Industry, where it consolidated operations from two Orange County locations.
