The park will be suited to a whole host of commercial and light industrialprojects, Varilone said. It will have 21 lots varying in size from one acreto three acres. Lots can be combined to make up a larger parcel.
"Pricing will start in the low $100,000 for a smaller, one-acre size lot,"Varilone said. "The park is in a great location off of Grand River atBurkhart Road, virtually right across from the Livingston County Airport, and near M-59 and I-96 corridors."
He said Monday that the lots will begin availability in early summer, if theweather cooperates. About 8 inches of snow dumped on the Southeast Michiganarea that day.
"We"re hoping to break ground soon if Spring ever truly comes," he joked.
The project has received site plan approval from the township Board ofTrustees, Varilone said. The property has also been approved as anindustrial development district, he said.
"The district award is key," Varilone told GlobeSt.com. "The districtaffords companies locating in the park the opportunity to qualify for taxabatements. However, there's no guarantee they'll be approved."
The former farm land and residential area has been zoned as heavy commercialuse by the township, Varilone said. The property is now surrounded by otherlight industrial uses, he said.
