The discount retailer, which has 400 stores, picked Conroe for a demographic profile because it's so well matched to the chain's concept, Greg Bracchi in the Dallas office for Staubach Co. tells GlobeSt.com. He says the strong tenant roster made it the obvious choice over other Conroe-area options. The lineup includes Academy Sports & Outdoors, PetCo, Conn's Electronics and Burke's Outlet.
Montgomery Plaza is located at the northwest corner of Interstate 45 and Loop 336. It is owned by Houston's Weingarten Realty Investors, which used in-house broker Alan Houston to structure the five-year pact.
With the signing, Tuesday Morning now has more than 10 stores in the Houston region. A 12,132-sf store recently opened at the NASA Value Center off NASA Road One in Webster, southeast of Houston.
