"Locally we have experienced the same occupancy struggles as the rest of the Metropolitan Detroit area, but fortunately we have been able to overcome the slow economy and beat the odds with Village Plaza," said Randy Doran, SVP for the Detroit branch of Koll.

He said a $5.5 million dollar renovation on the property was a key contributor. "Also, tenants enjoy all the services of a class A property at class B prices," Doran said.

Built in 1968, Village Plaza is a 272,000-sf, 12-story class-A and B office building connected to a three-story plaza. Koll manages the property for DM Associates LLC. Current tenants include Oakwood Healthcare, H&R Block, Raymond James and Associates and The National Institute of Technology.
