The 27-unit luxury condos front a 740-foot beach on the south shore of Lake Charlevoix, said John Hamburger of Sachse Construction of Farmington Hills. The developer was Harborage Pointe LLC of Bloomfield Hills; Sachse Construction served as general contractor.Asking prices range from $200,000 to $400,000 per unit.
Hamburger said recent projects by Sachse include the Corner Bar at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, the renovation of Detroit's historic Dime Building and a 107-room Residence Inn in Novi.
Also, Windham Development of West Bloomfield is seeking a Michigan Department of Environmental Quality permit to build 61 condominiums at the corner of Eight Mile Road and I-275 in Farmington Hills.
A hearing will be held at 7 p.m. April 16 in the Farmington Hills City Council chambers. Approximately one acre of wetlands will be affected, but the company is proposing mitigation.
