This store will be Borders' 12th in the state. Other stores are located in Chestnut Hill, Framingham, Peabody, Boston, Braintree, North Attleboro, Hyannis, Shrewsbury, Cambridge, Kingston and Methuen. The company says the site was selected based on a variety of factors including demographics, the strength of the mall's co-tenants, traffic patterns, the availability of parking and the attractiveness of the site.
Best Buy is the store's co-tenant at this location. The new Borders will feature a café and up to 200,000 titles. Borders Group currently operates more than 410 Borders domestic superstores, 33 international stores, 37 Books etc. locations and approximately 775 Waldenbooks stores.
