Kimball, formerly the company's controller, succeeds Stuart R. "Rick" Mork, who resigned from the company March 1 to pursue other opportunities. The company says Kimball has assumed increasing responsibility within the finance department over the past 16 years, serving as vice president of finance and controller for the company since 1997. He was named interim CFO with Mork's resignation.

Kimball continues to oversee financial reporting, information systems and audit services. In his new appointment, he assumes responsibility for treasury, investor relations and tax services. He joined the company in 1986 as director of internal audit. Before joining Newhall Land, he was an audit supervisor with Coopers & Lybrand.

Stiller has served as assistant controller since February 2002. The March 1 shift also put her in as interim controller. Previously, she was division controller for asset management and infrastructure. Stiller, who joined Newhall Land in 1996 from the Walt Disney Co., began her career with Price Waterhouse as a senior accountant.
