Kevin Walker, a project engineer with the Colorado Division who has been with the construction firm for three years, joined the Southwest Division where he is working on the $22-million La Perla Independent Living Center in Tucson.
Brad Sullivan, previously an intern for the Weitz Hy-Vee Division in West Des Moines and the Southwest Division in Phoenix, has taken a project manager position with Weitz, handling projects that include the future home of the Southwest Division at 5555 E. Van Buren and the $14-million Orpheum Lofts in Phoenix.
As project engineers they will be responsible for material expedition, detail scheduling, submittal processing, quotations, change orders, purchase orders and engineering during construction.
In other moves, Adrianne Cline has been named assistant project manager and Cynthia Verduzco as project coordinator of the company's Southwest region.
Cline spent five years with the Colorado Division of the Weitz Co. as project engineer and assistant project manager prior to moving to the firm's Southwest branch. She will be manage all administrative and field construction projects and will assist with project start-up, strategy, scheduling, work progress, subcontractor awards, job quality and job cost controls.
Verduzco, with more than 20 years of experience in architecture from firms such as Douglas Seaver & Associates, Anderson DeBartolo Pan, Carlson Design and Construction and Barduson Architecture, will be responsible for maintaining communications between the office and field personnel to ensure all paper work is done properly and on time.
