The new Barneys New York Co-Op will be on two floors at 832 Collins Ave. It is a long-term lease.
"The South Beach Co-Op will carry an assortment of men's and women's apparel, accessories, shoes and cosmetics that are reflective of the merchandise in our Madison Avenue Co-Op department and our freestanding Co-Op locations in the Chelsea and Soho sections of New York City," Howard Socol, chairman, president and CEO of Barneys, says in a statement.
"We are excited about our first freestanding Co-Op location outside of New York City and believe that the South Beach customer is perfect for our CO-OP concept," Socol states. "It is our plan to open additional Co-Op locations in other markets in the future."
