Fuji Photo Film USA Moves into New Larger HQ

The firm relocated its operations from Taxter Corporate Park in Elmsford to 164,000 sf of space at The Summit office Park in Valhalla, which is owned by Reckson Associates Realty Corp. The firm signed the lease for its new corporate headquarters last August. The lease deal was the largest lease transaction in several years in Westchester and was a major corporate retention secured by Westchester County and New York State economic development officials.

Fuji had been involved in a three-year search for new corporate office space and had considered sites outside of New York State, including properties in Connecticut. At Taxter Corporate Park, Fuji Photo Film USA. had leased approximately 106,000 sf of space.

Fujifilm, which moved its headquarters from New York City to Elmsford in 1986, received tax incentives and funding totaling $2.65 million for a period of 10 years from state and county officials to stay in Westchester County.

"We had outgrown our old space in more ways than one," says Yasuo Tanaka, president and CEO of Fuji Photo Film USA Inc. "It also gives us the chance to enjoy the many advantages that the surrounding community has to offer the company and its employees."

"Our new headquarters will provide us with the expanded space to reinforce our branding, corporate vision and values in a more efficient workplace," Stanley E. Freimuth, executive vice president and COO of Fuji Photo Film USA, adds.

The company's new space was renovated prior to occupancy and features hands-on product displays in visitor and employee work areas, track lighting and a design that offers an abundance of natural light. Workstations and enclosed offices feature furniture accented by wood tones and a distinctive green stripe – Fujifilm's corporate color. The reception areas will feature images of Fujifilm products captured on plasma screens.

The company reported that approximately 330 employees will be working in its new corporate headquarters space.
