Clise Properties is Seattle's oldest property development company. J. W. Clise founded the company in 1889. A. M. Clise, the fourth generation to run the company, became president and CEO in 1985.
"Richard's promotion to president is much deserved," said Clise. "He has been an integral part of the Clise organization for several years."
Stevenson, a BOMA board member and past president, has 20 years experience in the real estate and property management. Prior to joining Clise Properties in 1995, he was with Harbor Properties and Wright Runstad & Company.
Clise Properties played an integral role in rebuilding Seattle after the Great Fire. In the early 20th Century, the company assembled a significant portion of what is now known as the Denny Triangle.
The company currently owns and manages more than three million sf of real estate in the downtown Seattle area. Commercial office properties include the Securities Building, Westin Building, Denny Building and Sixth & Lenora Building.
Clise's most recent project in the area was 1700 Seventh, a 24-story mixed-use structure that houses Nordstrom, a number of Fortune 500 companies and 65 residential units. BOMA named it Seattle's "2001 Office Building of the Year."
