Bringing in Reed is indicative of Freddie Mac's current strategy of augmenting its presence in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions. Within those areas, Reed's focal point will be on multifamily, as well as commercial, real estate.

"Hiring such a well-respected and experienced producer is a tremendous advantage for GMACCM's Richmond office," says Richmond office senior VP and branch manager Don Marshall. "John's extensive experience and strong industry relationships, paired with GMACCM's broad menu of products and services, is definitely a winning combination." During his nearly eight-year tenure at Freddie Mac, Reed spearheaded a group of lenders that arranged $6 billion in multifamily mortgage investments. Prior to his stint at Freddie Mac, he worked in Bank of America's Real Estate Banking Group.
