Tesco operates 2,200 stores in 10 countries. Its new warehouse and distribution facility in Park Prague is adjacent to the D1 Highway, approximately 7 miles southeast of Prague. The site provides access to the Prague City Center within 15 minutes, Brno within 90 minutes and Ostrava in less than four hours, making it a key gateway to the greater Czech Republic.
"We were looking for a very quick solution to achieve our distribution goals. ProLogis provided a well-suited facility …," says Mark Champagne, supply chain and distribution director for Tesco, which says it plans to call on ProLogis elsewhere in the Czech Republic and throughout Central Europe.
ProLogis owns and operates six facilities for a total of 1,155,373 sf in ProLogis Park Prague. In addition, ProLogis controls land to allow for future development of four more facilities totaling 613,542 sf. Additional tenants in the Park include Danzas, Taroko, Schneidersohne, Rossman, Danzas, Hellman Worldwide Logistics and L'Oreal.
