The company is a provider for the Central Intelligence Agency, theDepartment of Defense and the National Security Agency, among otherorganizations.
The governor praised the new development as an addition to the HomelandSecurity corridor that she wants built in the area.
"Michigan will become a leader in the development of homeland securitytechnology. We are poised to become the place that these companies turn towhen looking for a home to develop and manufacture their products," saidGov. Jennifer Granholm.
The company is expected to create 245 new jobs at the facility. The companyhad been considering moving to Ohio or Virginia, but said it wanted to workclosely with the University of Michigan. Tax breaks offered by the statealso assisted in the decision to expand in the area, said company officials.
The company, headquartered in Arlington, VA, did not release the expectedcost or size of the facility.
