The 98-year-old division, which has built some of Atlanta's most notable landmark structures, posted 2002 revenue of $907 million. Morgan will be responsible for managing all six operating units that report to the Georgia division. Those units include the firm's corporate and commercial, government and education, healthcare, sports, aviation and the firm's Nashville office.
Among the Atlanta structures Skanska has built over the past 100 years are the Bank of America Plaza, 191 Peachtree, Coca-Cola headquarters, Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, Crawford Long Hospital, Centennial Olympic Stadium and Turner Field, the High Museum of Art, Carter Library and the BellSouth Tower.
Skanska USA Building Inc., headquartered in Parsippany, NJ, employs 5,300. The company is part of the Sweden-based Skanska AB global group of companies which logged 2002 sales of $15 billion with a total staff of 79,000.
