Tony Gleason of Voit Commercial Brokerage's Irvine office says the engineering group is relocating its corporate headquarters from about 11,000 sf in a building on Goodyear Street in the Irvine Spectrum to a larger building to accommodate the company's projected growth. Gleason represented the Owen Group in the acquisition, with Jeff Carr and Greg Haly of CB Richard Ellis Inc. in Newport Beach representing the seller.
Founded in the 1980s, the Owen Group is an architectural, engineering and construction management firm with a network of offices throughout the West. The company works with clients such as government agencies, defense contractors, transportation boards, private companies and homeowner associations. The new Owen building is a two-story, steel frame structure that was built in 1986 by the seller.
