The tract at 6287 Long Dr. is near Hobby Airport, the main attraction for the acquisition. Scott Ison of Axis Property Advisors in Houston tells GlobeSt.com that the parcel, bought as an investment, most likely is destined for a build-to-suit project.
Midwesco Industries Inc. of Tulsa was the seller. The selling price isn't available, but Midwesco was seeking $500,000 for the land.
In the far northwest sector, Prakash Khetpal, owner of American AC Supply, purchased about 2.3 acres at the intersection of Tower Oaks and Jones Road. The plan is to build an office/warehouse. Keith Grothaus of Houston's Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group represented the seller, 4.4076 Ltd., in the deal. Keith Edwards, also with Caldwell Watson, represented the buyer.
