The building will house the Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan's administrative offices for home care, hospice, private care and medical supplies. All administrative, billing, finance, performance improvement, education, marketing and public relations staff will also work out of the facility. The first floor of the building will contain a 12-bed residential hospice and a medical supply showroom with infusion pharmacy services.
The company's board of directors approved the project in November 2002. Relocation into the building will occur in stages beginning in December of this year and ending in March 2004. The project is being developed by DCC Development and designed by Creekwood Architecture Inc.
This will be the company's second residential hospice in mid-Michigan. They also operate Brian's House, a six-bed unit in the city of Essexville.
