The Dearborn, MI-headquartered company spent $17 million to develop the new manufacturing facility, which will provide plastic fuel-tank systems for Ford F-150 vehicles manufactured out of Ford Motor Co.'s nearby Norfolk, VA plant. Visteon, which announced its plans to build in Chesapeake last summer, expects to have its new fuel systems production locale up and running this month.

"This strategically located facility underscores Visteon's commitment for the growth and success of our customer," says Visteon vice president of manufacturing operations in North America and Asia, Tom Burke. "Locating in Chesapeake will allow us to efficiently deliver the highest quality products while enabling us to contribute to the economic vitality of the local communities." Visteon's new plant will create about 75 new jobs in the area.
