Doug King, Bob Parra and Mike Scholtz have been promoted to project superintendent I and Jay Combs has been named to the position of project superintendent II, according to Larry Mohr, Southwest Division president for Weitz. All four are responsible for supervising jobsite personnel, cost control, equipment selection, quality control, safety enforcement, job progress, architect and owner relations, and maintenance of on-site records.

King, who joined the firm in 1993, has more than 17 years of construction experience as a trade carpenter, field superintendent and project superintendent. Parra spent three years with the company's Southwest Division prior to his promotion from project superintendent to project superintendent I. Scholtz, a 10-year employee, has more than 13 years of industry experience as a construction quality controller, carpenter, labor foreman, punch list man, field superintendent and project superintendent. Combs, who will handle larger and more complex projects for the firm, has in excess of 27 years' experience in the construction industry, including owning his own general construction company for 11 years.
