Kacena will practice with both the hospitality and leisure group; and the Caribbean development group at the 350-lawyer firm. He has 26 years of consulting experience in real estate acquisitions, development and mergers. Kacena was with InterContinental or its predecessor companies for 18 years, and was a division general counsel for the past 13 years.

At InterContinental, Kacena and his development and acquisitions group were involved in every hotel acquisition, joint venture and management agreement in which the company was involved in the Americas during the past decade. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis School of Law.
