Will Adams of Studley's Downtown Los Angeles office tells GlobeSt.com that the animation firm considered several relocation alternatives, but chose to stay put after being presented with a package that included rent concessions and free parking. Studley and Paul Stockwell, also of Studley's Downtown office, represented Film Roman, which is the animator for TV shows "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill" and "X-Men Evolution," among others. The building owner, the Metcalf Family Trust of San Francisco, was represented by Stacy Vierheilig-Fraser of the Studio City office of Charles Dunn Co.

Adams says Film Roman, whose lease was due to expire Aug. 31, has been in the 127,000-sf building since 1989. He notes that it is one of many animation companies located in Glendale, Burbank and North Hollywood in order to be near movie studios. Film Roman was founded 18 years ago by animator Phil Roman. The company, which delivers animated children's series to broadcasters worldwide, has won 18 Emmy Awards.
