John Barnes with Colliers International tells GlobeSt.com that two other bidders were interested in the property, but the police organization topped the other prospective buyers with an offer that was just $77,500 short of seller Lex Solutio's $650,000 asking price. The building, which sits on a 12,000-sf tract, was on the market about two months prior to its sale.

Phoenix-based Lex Solutio, a firm that converts documents into digital format, plans to stay in the building, located at 10th Avenue and Van Buren Street, for another two months before turning the keys over to the law enforcement organization, Barnes said.

Barnes and Peter Barbey, also with Colliers International, represented the seller in the transaction. Jeff Jennings, with Prostar Realty of Phoenix, served as the buyer's representative.
