Designed by SGPA Architects & Planners of San Diego, the office property is being built by the San Carlos-based general contractor Wentz Group. Slated for completion in December 2003, the complex will consist of one single-story building and two, two-story facilities. Design plans call for built-up roofs, painted exteriors, gray-tint glass windows and entry canopies, according to SGPA project architect Mike Robnett.

Imperial Marketplace is rising on a 40-acre site located on Imperial near the 805 Freeway. The mixed-use development will encompass a total of 295,000 sf at completion. Aside from office space, it will include restaurants and shops.

The project's developer, Beverly Hills-based Pacific Development Partners LLC, has completed a number of projects located in Southern California. Among them are Niketown/Triangle Square in Costa Mesa, Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo and a Whole Foods Market in the Hillcrest area of San Diego.
