Paul Stockwell of Studley's Downtown Los Angeles office tells GlobeSt.com that Modern VideoFilm has signed for 11,863 sf on the top floor of the six-story building. The office space will house the accounting and human resource departments of the entertainment industry company, which is based in Burbank. Stockwell and Mark Sullivan, also of Studley's Downtown Los Angeles office, represented Modern VideoFilm. Gary Brandt of Commercial Management Services in Universal City, an in-house leasing agent for the building, represented the building owner, EP Investments of Los Angeles.

Stockwell says Modern VideoFilm has been in the 3575 Cahuenga building for approximately five years on a lease that was due to expire this month. He says the company wanted to accommodate growth and reconfigure its space under the new lease to minimize parking costs and gain a building-top sign. The new lease provides some concessions that reduce the parking costs, Stockwell says.

Modern VideoFilm Inc. maintains four facilities in the Los Angeles area, providing editing, visual effects, duplication, digital cinema mastering, digital intermediate services, DVD authoring and audio mixing for the entertainment industry.
