The bill contains $19 in funding for three Army National Guard Readiness Centers (Armories) in Pontiac, Jackson and Owosso, as well as funding for the Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

"The overall military presence in our home state may be small, but it is important," said U.S. Rep. Joe Knollenberg (R-Bloomfield Township). "This funding will enable the men and women who use these facilities to better perform their duties."

The Pontiac Armory will get $1.1 million to expand and upgrade the facility. Selfridge is to get $9.6 million to build a new Joint Medical Training Facility. The Jackson Armory will receive $5.6 million to replace a 161-year-old facility, and the Owosso Armory will be torn down and rebuilt with $3.5 million in funds.
