The Teterboro, NJ-based firm signed a 10-year lease at 5850 Rogerdale Rd. for a regional office and 24-hour reference medical laboratory. Greg Mondshine in the Houston office for Dallas-based Myers, Crow & Saviers Ltd. tells GlobeSt.com that move-in will take place at year's end.
The diagnostic testing, information and services firm will occupy two-thirds of the 173,400-sf, two-story office building, situated on more than 14 acres. Mondshine won't say how aggressive he had to get to win the deal. The Westchase submarket, on the average, is getting about $20 per sf for class A product.
In a press release, Mondshine said Quest "liked the flexibility and efficiency of our large floor plans as well as the high-density parking ratio for its many employees." Quest will office about 500 employees in the structure developed by Myers, Crow & Saviers.
Bob Parsley and Peggy Meredith, both in the Houston office of Colliers International, along with Jason Wolf in the firm's Philadelphia office represented Quest in the search for office space. "Quest looked at cities throughout the state of Texas for a location that would offer the best opportunity to consolidate its regional operations," Parsley said in a prepared statement, "and Houston, and Oak Park specifically, offered the best site for the company's consolidation." The access to patients and the airport due to the proximity to Beltway 8 also was important to Quest, Parsley added.
