Rob Socci of Voit Commercial Brokerage's Anaheim Metro office says Tuttle Carpet opted to purchase the building after leasing it for five years. Socci, along with Louis Tomaselli and Mitch Zehner of Voit Commercial's Anaheim Metro office, represented seller Voit Development Co. of Woodland Hills and also represented the buyer.
Tuttle Carpet One's newly acquired building, which also serves as the headquarters, is a single-story, concrete tilt-up structure built in the early 1980s with street frontage on La Paz Road. It is in a business park environment that includes a design center serving interior designers and materials providers such as Tuttle, a carpet and flooring specialist. The park consists of highly improved buildings featuring office and light industrial space.
Socci says it's the third industrial building in the same Laguna Niguel neighborhood to be acquired by a tenant in recent months. The other two buildings, totaling 71,500 sf, were sold in April.
