Wells, who joined the Weitz Co. three years ago, said the appointment will allow him to help the board increase its profile in the business community. The Phoenix-based, non-profit group promotes excellence in arts management by linking business experts with arts and cultural organizations in the Valley. The group has donated consulting services of nearly $2.8 million. Last year, the group donated $245,000 in services to groups such as the Grammy Award-winning Phoenix Boys Choir, East Valley Children's Theatre, Sonoran Arts League, Phoenix Family Museum, Arizona Jewish Theatre Company and the Scottsdale Cultural Council. The group is involved in projects ranging from financial audits to serving on selection panels for management staff.
