The average nightly room rate was largely unchanged at $85.94, compared with $85.24 a year earlier.
The report, authored by Robert Benton of Roberts S. Benton & Associates Inc., also shows that the year-to-date occupancy rate is 55% compared to 57.6% through the first five months of last year.And the average nightly room rate in the first five months was $83.38, compared with $83.74 during the same period in 2002.
The report shows that downtown boasted the highest average occupancy rate and the highest average room rate, at 70.6% and $126.77, respectively.
