The 186,000-sf facility was built on a 40-acre site located at theWillis Industrial Park.The flatbed center will receive rail and truck shipments of large, bulkyproducts from suppliers. Products will then be quickly loaded as customizedorders on flatbed trucks destined for Lowe's stores in a six-state area.
Lowe's currently operates 12 regional flatbed centers throughout the UnitedStates.The state currently has almost 30 stores, with another 25 planned by 208,said company officials.
