The project--which will reportedly cost over $1 billion and involve more than five million sf of development--is located on a 45-acre parcel in Cambridge, with smaller portions in Boston and Somerville. The site is located across from the Museum of Science and CambridgeSide Galleria, and is adjacent to the Lechmere MBTA Station. Spaulding & Slye Colliers will develop the project in partnership with Guilford Transportation, with Spaulding & Slye acting as development manager.
The master plan for North Point includes a transit-oriented residential neighborhood consisting of office, research and development, and retail space, a hotel, parking, and over 10 acres of green space. The design competition focuses on one commercial, one residential and one mixed-use parcel.
