According to the company, the new store was a dream of Salvaggio's. Thisstore, a popular produce market, will be the largest of the four stores.The 56-year-old Salvaggio, who lived in nearby Harrison Township, MI, died March12 of cancer.

The new location will employ 175 people and will feature a café, produce andspecialty products and services. It will open sometime in October.

The new big-box produce store is one of many specialty retail chains thathave cropped up along M-59, now Macomb County's largest retail corridor. Themarket area has almost doubled in size in the last decade, and is the mainreason retail leasing in Macomb County has continued to skyrocket.
