"There are no stringent barriers to your holding elective office and owning businesses in the city," according to the board's statement.
"You should under no circumstances attempt, directly or indirectly, to influence any city officials, officers or employees with respect to actions or decisions that would specifically affect one or more of the businesses in which your hold an interest," the board's chair, Charles Savage, added.
Hickenlooper is the majority owner of the privately held Wynkoop Brewing Co. Its biggest restaurant/bar is Wynkoop Brewing in LoDo, the city's first brewpub. His other restaurants are the Cherry Cricket, Appaloosa Grill, Goosetown Tavern, Pearl Street Grill, Red Room, and the Wazee Supper Club.
