Independent Industries LLC picked up the building, located at 1345 N. Hobson in the East Valley Commerce Center, in a deal with developer Piedmont Associates LLC of Phoenix. Kris Martin, with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial, said the buyer will revamp the interior to include about 1,500 sf of office and showroom space for its business, Independent Gas Tanks, which manufactures aftermarket motorcycle gasoline tanks.
The firm, currently located in about 3,000 sf at Stapley and Baseline in Mesa, will move into the property, situated on 22,000 sf of land, in August, he said. Martin along with Pete Klees, also with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial negotiated the sale on behalf of both the seller and the buyer.
