When the two projected are completed, Denver is expected to become a "first-tier" convention destination, competing more directly with the likes of Chicago and San Francisco for conventions. Currently, Denver's peers, in order of spending per diem, according to HVS are: Baltimore, Phoenix, Dallas, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Seattle, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Portland, Kansas City and St. Louis.
