"It was a good location for them because they wanted to be near other county offices and they do some work with Good Samaritan Hospital," Gordon Raguse, senior vice president with Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial, tells GlobeSt.com. The five-story office tower, built in the mid-1980s, is primarily occupied by medical professionals, which makes it an ideal location for the county's public health and bio-medical administrators, he noted. A central location near the Loop 202 and central Phoenix also played into the county's decision, he said.

The county will pay $18.50 per sf over the five-year term for the 1010 E. McDowell Rd. offices Raguse along with Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial's Tyler Smith, negotiated the transaction for the building owner, Good Samaritan Professional LLC. Julie Johnson with DevMan Co. of Phoenix represented the tenant.
