Smart & Final, which offers food and restaurant supplies to consumers on a non-membership basis, will locate its latest offering at the southwest corner of 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road, an area chosen for its solid density, strong traffic counts and mix of residential and business occupants, according to Dave Cheatham and Darren Pitts with CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Phoenix office. They and Jeffrey Moore of CBRE's Anaheim office also assisted in representing the tenant.
The freestanding store is the second one built for Smart & Final by Lake Development of Newport Beach, CA, which is the preferred developer for the foodservice giant. Two other stores recently opened under 10-year leases at the northwest corner of 79th Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale and the northwest corner Scottsdale and Thunderbird roads in Phoenix. Terms of the transactions weren't available.
