The Fort Worth-based Woodmont hired Will Martin, formerly with NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell, to co-lead an office initiative with Benjamin Browne. Martin will be focusing on the Fort Worth CBD, a good strategy since he's brought a longstanding client, the Bombay Co., with him. He tells GlobeSt.com that the split at Stoneleigh was "very cordial" despite the high-profile client's exit and a few others that he bargained to take with him.
Browne, also a VP, has the Arlington and Mid-Cities territory along with his brother, Brad Browne. Not only is Martin sharing the lead with a college friend, but he's also back where he interned from 1991 to 1994.
Martin says it was "a hard decision" to leave Stoneleigh after 3.5 years. "It was one that I really needed to make," he says. "The time was right."
Woodmont has 16 brokers, mostly retail specialists. Until now, the Brownes were steering the office trade.
