At the same time, Kajima has promoted Joe McGrath, former SVP for marketing, to executive vice president and chief operating officer. McGrath also will head the firms national marketing group.
Hara, who has been with Kajima for 23 years, has worked in both Japan and the United States, where he previously was an SVP in charge of nationwide U.S. operations. McGrath, a former general manager of the firm's southwest region, has been in the construction industry for 30 years and has extensive experience in health care, pharmaceutical and high tech facilities.
The remainder of KCS's core management group will remain unchanged, with Richard Nigro continuing as executive vice president and secretary and Katsushi Norihama as treasurer and assistant secretary.
