The 51- and 43-story towers will contain 750 units and 699,253 sf of sellable residential space. The project's construction cost is an estimated $90 million. Groundbreaking is set for December.
The project will be located at 19th Street and North Bayshore Drive, in the Miami Arts District, considered the "New Miami," with many art galleries, art museums and related facilities. The towers are designed for "the young urban hipster."
Prices start in the $140,000s. The more than 40,000 sf of amenities will include two open-air pools, a private health club, an exercise facility and a sauna.
The architectural firm is known for its design of many properties in South Florida, including The Ritz-Carlton in Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne, Lowes in South Beach and Diplomat Resort & Country Club in Hollywood.
"Quantum will be a bright new piece of work completing redevelopment of North Bayshore Drive and complementing the other buildings at the southern end of the street," says Bruce Brosch, partner and vice president of Nichols, Brosch, Sandoval & Associates. "This project will be crisp and contemporary. It will feature a white exterior with soft aqua green glass and accents of red, reading nicely from across the bay."
Quantum on the Bay is being developed by locally based Terra Adi International Developments. The project's sales center is set to open in September, and the first units are scheduled to be delivered in two to three years.
