Riefkamp Equipment Co. will move into the 4365 W. McDowell Rd. industrial property in September under a $300,000 arrangement with building owner, First Industrial Trust. The industrial warehouse is part of a two-building, 54,000-sf project that was built two years ago by Chicago-based First Industrial. The property is about 60% leased to several smaller industrial tenants.
Rich Sica, with Daum Commercial Real Estate Services, who handled the transaction for the tenant, tells GlobeSt.com that the national detergent distributor, which was formerly located on Adams Street in West Phoenix, was forced to move from its prior location because the building did not meet regulations governing the handling of detergent materials. Bob Hubbard, with CB Richard Ellis Inc. in Phoenix, handled the transaction on behalf of the building owner.
