The bill already has received the blessings of the committee. It's expected to be debated on the Senate floor in the coming weeks.
Fitzsimons, a former Army hospital where President Eisenhower was treated after a heart attack, is being developed into a $4.5 billion medical and biotech center.It's expected to cost about $450 million for Children's Hospital to move to Fitzsimons. So far, the Children's Hospital Foundation has raised about $80 million.
