SVTronics Inc., now working out of 10,000 sf at 3535 Asset St. in Garland, will undertake a 25,000-sf to 30,000-sf project for a corporate headquarters address and production facility for its electronics contract manufacturing business. Forest Francis Commercial Construction of Dallas is the general contractor for the build-to-suit, situated at Technology Drive's intersection with Klein Road.
Chris Dickey, SVTronics' vice president of sales, tells GlobeSt.com that the firm, founded in May 1996, has set aside $1.2 million for the building project. Another $300,000, he says, was spent to buy the land from Asia Wintec.
Scott A. Morse of Dallas-based Morse Co. represented the buyers. Randy Wood of the Dallas office for First Industrial Realty Trust, headquartered in Chicago, brokered terms for the seller.
"We looked for move-in-ready buildings but none of them worked for us," Jasmat Sutaria, president of SVTronics, said in a press release. The construction schedule calls for completion eight months after the work begins.
SVTronics is a privately held, minority-owned company that integrates designs, layout, PCB fabrication and manufacturing of prototypes to full production for high-technology companies and conducts operations in a customary static-free, climate-controlled facility. Last year, the SMU Cox School of Business Caruth Institute placed the firm in the Top 100 fastest growing private companies in the region, marking its third time on the prestigious ranking.
