The firm will take over four floors at the 24 story high-rise at 3200 N. Central Ave. under a corporate-wide initiative that will make the firm's Phoenix office a model for further GE consolidations. "This is a national initiative which they call rooftop consolidation," Trammell Crow Co.'s vice president Don Mudd tells GlobeSt.com. "It's a cost and efficiency program that was selected to be used as their model for elsewhere around the United States."
Mudd says GE services to be put under one roof include GE Financial Insurance, industrial and lighting services, commercial real estate and the corporation's travel offices. The firm, which presently has some offices at the Great American Tower, will complete the move into the building in September, bringing occupancy levels up to around 82%, he says. Mudd and John Bonnell, also a Trammell Crow vice president, represented GE in the transaction. The building's owner, US Office Holdings LP, was represented by Charles Miscio and Keith Lambeth formerly with Insignia/ESG.
