"Tubby's is aggressively looking to expand in the city of Detroit, as well as in the outlying areas of Detroit," said Robert Paganes, president of Tubby's Grilled Submarines. "These three stores are part of that expansion.
The new stores are each opened by a separate franchisee and are located at 13324 Gratiot, Detroit, owned by Nick Salmo; 15278 S. Dixie Highway, Monroe, owned by Salim Saad; and 6299 Haggerty in West Bloomfield, owned by Moussa Farhat.
The chain, which is based in Clinton Township and was founded in St. Clair Shores, is marking its 35-year anniversary this year. Tubby's has 90 stores in Michigan, Florida and Iowa and expects to open six new locations in Michigan in the fourth quarter of this year.
