BroadTech Inc. of Richardson signed the largest deal in the stack: 16,955 sf. The three-year lease puts 1620 Valwood Parkway at 100% occupancy. The 47,400-sf building is owned by Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust LP.
Randy Wood, First Industrial's leasing director, tells GlobeSt.com that he was competing against a couple other properties, but the 5,000 sf of office area helped sway the decision-makers, as did the rate. Grant Laughlin of Office Finders in Dallas represented BroadTech, which is moving in Sept. 15 to space that was emptied three years ago.At 1840 Hutton Dr., Global Net Inc. took over 9,356 sf in a three-year lease to fill a 37,620-sf structure, also a First Industrial property. Wood and Gene Cason of Chisholm Realty in Plano negotiated the lease.
In Irving, 2920 Skyway Circle has landed a 7,500-sf tenant for a 38,000-sf building owned by Dallas-based Proterra Properties. Acu Graphics Embroidery Co., prepping for a move from a nearby industrial site along Belt Line Road, signed a long-term lease for a space that's been dark for about two years. Proterra's Dan Lawson brokered the contract with tenant representative, Conrad Madsen in the Dallas office for Fort Worth-based NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell.
