"Our primary focus is on grocery anchored strip shopping centers providing basic goods and services to their communities," says Kranzdorf, who serves as president. "Initially, we have targeted the fast-growing Front Range region of Colorado," he adds.
Previously, Kranzdorf was VP and Director of Research and Information Systems at Kranzco Realty Trust, a New York Stock Exchange-listed real estate investment trust and predecessor to Kramont Realty Trust. He is co-chairman of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts' Technology Committee and is an emeritus member of the International Council of Shopping Center's Research Advisory Task Force. He also had served as SVP for Strategic Planning at ShoppingCenter.com, a retail service provider, and as Director of Engineering at Finali Corp., a developer of automated customer service solutions for online retailers and financial service companies.
Norman Kranzdorf has more than 40 years in commercial real estate. He founded Kranzco Realty Inc., a general commercial real estate management and brokerage company, in 1979 and was a co-founder of Kranzco Realty Trust in 1992. He served as its president and CEO until the June 2000 merger with CV REIT, which created Kramont. He was chairman of Kramont until he retired in 2003.
From 1972 to 1981 he was president of Amterre Development Inc., a successor to Food Fair Properties Inc., a shopping center owner and management company. He is a former trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is Chairman of the ICSC Bankruptcy Task Force. He was a founding member of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Real Estate Center and serves on its advisory board. He also serves on the board of NAI, one of the largest commercial real estate organizations in the world. In addition, Kranzdorf is SVP–Retail of Urdang & Associates Real Estate Advisors Inc.
