Getting the lead corporate services job is Jim Hayden, who previously headed the Southeastern region as he shuttled between his home in Memphis and office in Atlanta. Now, he's added Dallas to the itinerary along with a plan to bring another four professionals to the eight-member team while sizing up about 25 existing TCC employees as candidates for roles as alliance directors, Hayden tells GlobeSt.com of his plan to step into a role once held in part by Concannon. Key to the alliance directors' selection will be performance, ability to understand corporate real estate issues and strategic thinking capabilities.

"Alliance directors will be a key part of our message going forward," Hayden explains of the terminology. Those who are selected will be the front men with the clients.

Hayden says the business development plan calls for an increased focus on securing more clients in the fields of energy, financial services, technology and pharmaceuticals. The push also includes increased research to build "experts" in their respective brokerage specialties, he explains. The four industries under Trammell Crow's magnifying glass now constitute about 25% of the firm's corporate business. Hayden says the goal is 50%. "And we can," he stresses, "because we will be viewed as experts."

Hayden joined Trammell Crow in 1982, holding key management roles in the corporate outsourcing services business. "Jim's experience has equipped him with a thorough appreciation for the unique needs of Corporate America as well as a skill in shaping solutions to maximize their bottom line," Mike Lafitte, president of the company's global services group said in a press release. Hayden's client list includes Bank of America, Exxon/Mobil and Florida Power & Light.
