Tim Hughes of Falcon Realty Advisors of Plano brokered the sublease between the Dallas-based Minyards and Lovejoy, which is eyeing an opening before the holiday shopping season begins. The single-tenant store will be outfitted with "mom and pop" retailers, all dealing in new merchandise, just like a Service Merchandise building in Garland that Lovejoy set up and sold, Hughes tells GlobeSt.com.
Minyards closed the store within two years of opening it at the 14th Jupiter Place, a 99,800-sf center owned by John Parks of Dallas. Lovejoy's retail mix will run the gamut from a dry cleaners to apparel to hard goods. Built in 1997, the 85%-leased shopping center sits on about 9.8 acres and had been on the market for $11 million.
